Overall Development for sharp minds through extra curricular activities
The society in which we exist should grow and develop. Only then can we truly grow. APIIT encourages various extracurricular activities to its students like visiting nearby villages, organizing Adult literacy programmes, plant trees, organize medical camps and pursue other such social awareness campaigns. These extracurricular activities are done to inculcate in them the responsibility of social consciousness, which is a key component in nation building. As a part of social awareness programme, APIIT encourages students to join the National Service Scheme (NSS) and actively participate in various welfare activities. As a part of NSS activities, the volunteers (that is what they are called) organize blood donation camps, free medical camps, conduct cleanliness drive, flood relief camps and so on to create awareness among the people of the adjoining villages, as well as the villages in remote areas. These extracurricular activities provides a learning experience for them too as they come across real life situations that need impromptu decisions and strategies and tests their leadership skills.
