The Mechanical Science laboratory under Mechatronics Engineering Department is equipped with all the tools necessary to understand the concepts taught in Mechanical Science Module. In Mechanical Science Lab students of Mechatronics Engineering learn about friction, center of gravity, centroid, forces and moment of forces. Students learn how to calculate coefficient of friction between a pair of given surfaces. Using force table they learn, how and when these forces will be in equilibrium. They learn about the principle of resolution of forces. They utilize their skills to determine center of gravity of a given flat object. They learn about moment of forces using Bell Crank Lever. They understand the conditions under which the given object will be under equilibrium.
